Vincenzo Amato
Vincenzo Amato lavora attualmente come geologo presso il parco archeologico di Pompei.
Ha lavorato come Adjunct Professor of Stratigraphical Geology and Geomorphology to the Post-Graduate School in Archeological Heritage of the Cultural Heritage Sciences Department, Salerno University (DISPAC_UNISA). Ha inoltre ricoperto la mansione di Adjunct Professor of Geoarchaeology to the Biosciences and Territory Department anche presso Molise University (DBT_UNIMOL)
Ha ricoperto il ruolo di responsabile delle ricerche geologiche e geomorfologiche nell’ambito di molti progetti archeologici in Sud Italia (Benevento, Arpi, Laos, Paestum, Velia, Pompei, Neapolis, Aesernia, ecc), Greece (Festos, Messenia, ecc.) e in Spagna (Cadiz).
È stato coordinatore scientifico del “Molise Intermontane Basins Project”.
Author and co-author of ca. 50 papers both in peer-reviewed international journals and national/ international reviews.
Reviewer of several peer-reviewed international journal as Geosciences, Frontiers in Geosciences, Landscape and Urban Planning, Computer application and Quantitative methods in Archaeology, Alpine and Mediterranean Quaternary.
Chair-Session, Speaker and Presenter in several national/international congress, conferences and workshops.
